Description changed to: Hi Team, When I am trying to install Samba in my ubuntu server 10.04.3, It's throwing below mentioned error. sudo apt-get install samba Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: samba: Depends: libpopt0 (>= 1.16) but 1.15-1 is to be installed E: Broken packages I installed "libpopt0 (>= 1.16) but 1.15-1 " and tired installing Samba. However i still receive the same error.
