New question #250996 on samba in Ubuntu: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+question/250996
The samba vfs scannedonly module is provided by the package samba-vfs-modules, but it requires the scannedonlyd_clamav daemon to work, and this daemon is not provided by any ubuntu (nor debian) 14.04 package. I understand it can be compiled from sources, but it took sometime for me to realize they were missing, specially since the man page for vfs_scannedonly (which is packaged in samba-vfs-modules) say "Scannedonly comes in two parts: a samba vfs module and (one or more) daemons.". Maybe the samba-vfs-modules could recommend/suggest a package with the daemon (and the scannedonly_prescan utility)?
