Public bug reported: lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS Release: 16.04
Installing samba 2:4.3.9+dfsg-0ubuntu0.16.04.2 (and 0ubuntu0.16.04.3 from proposed updates) fails the tests described in https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setup_a_Samba_Active_Directory_Domain_Controller, after provisioning a new domain. $ smbclient -L localhost -U% Domain=[SAMDOM] OS=[Windows 6.1] Server=[Samba 4.3.9-Ubuntu] tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_DISCONNECTED https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11910 describes the problem in detail and has a patch attached. Upgrading to 4.3.10 fixes the problem also (the patch is included in 4.3.10) Please fix - it's hard to setup a samba DC, when basic tests are failing already. ** Affects: samba (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server/Client Support Team, which is subscribed to samba in Ubuntu.
