New question #665109 on samba in Ubuntu:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+question/665109

Hi,

In https://github.com/samba-team/samba/pull/64, support for Apple time-machine
backup has been added. As AFP and other options are gone for Linux, is it
possible that Ubuntu will merge these upstream patches in Samba packages for
bionic or non LTS systems? It would be a real dealmaker for simple NAS-systems
and such. Well, that would be my use case, but I'm sure more people would be
glad.

No worries if there's a "no", I'm more than happy to use my own compiled
version ;)

Kind regards,

Bauke Fahner
