Public bug reported: This is already fixed in upstream samba in this bug:
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15299 I've already tested that it backports easily to focal's samba package and indeed fixes the problem. Can we get this pulled into the official ubuntu samba pacakge? The bug is that Ventura slightly changed the way they communicate the search terms to the SMB server such that this change in samba is needed. It has been working fine for people before Ventura was released. Other users of samba have already included this (such as Synology). ** Affects: samba (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server/Client Support Team, which is subscribed to samba in Ubuntu.
