I haven't tried changing channels since the move "down" to ESR10 a few
years ago. At that time, the only option for changing tracks was to do
a complete remove of the release channel, then install ESR. I'm sure
not much has changed in the interim....

Hi Jean-Baptiste! I've never tried this (and honestly wouldn't
recommend it) but if I were you I'd simply download the last ESR 38.0
and RR 38.0 and run a diff. That should give you an indication if
switching a file is going to be enough or not. At least that's the way
I would do it.

Hi everyone,
We are a large organisation (about 5000 pcs) currently on Firefox
44 RR.
We would like to switch to ESR with FF 45.
I was wondering if changing the program
files/default/prefs/channel-prefs.js would be enough ?
Or is it strongly advice to reinstall a full package of FF45 ESR ?
The first option would be, of course, much easier.
Thanks for your advice.
