We've been using the RHEL/CentOS Totem plug-ins with Firefox 38 ESR
(Mozilla supplied Firefox binaries) to play various movies without a
problem on CentOS 6
However, these plug-ins don't (fully) work with Firefox 45 ESR - they
work if I use a 'file://...' URL to load a movie - but I just get a
black window/tab with 'http://...' or 'https://...' URLs
With http/https URLs, I get shell errors like:
TotemEmbedded-Message: totem_embedded_open_uri: uri
http://test.internal/sample.mov base_uri: http://test.internal/sample.mov
TotemEmbedded-Message: totem_embedded_clear_playlist
Emptying current_uri

TotemEmbedded-Message: totem_embedded_open_internal

Is anyone aware of anything that may have changed between ESR 38 and 45
that could explain this? - e.g. a new preference setting that is now
required etc?
I'm guessing Redhat/CentOS will move their rebuild of Firefox to Firefox
45 ESR in the near future - so hopefully they may 'fix' this issue ...
Thanks
James Pearson
