Hi,

I hope I am in the right place here.

In previous Version I could install an extension for example Noscript
for all users in the way I put the extractet extension into the
..Mozilla Firefox\extensions folder.

In that way all users have that extension running and enabled without
any useraction!

In the actual version of Firefox ESR this no longer works.

All docs I found will not help to get this funcionality back.

I and I think a lot of other people need to have a way to give users,
including existing users with allready configured profiles, extensions
without any user interaction.

Not working is:
1) installing the extension via registry
2) installing the extension into the ..\Mozilla
Firefox\browser\extensions folder
3) 1+2 together with setting the mozilla.cfg
lockPref("extensions.autoDisableScopes", 0);

The above ways are only the half of what I need, there is still user
interaction needed and existing profiles will not be affected.

May be that someone has found a way to reach the goal, but I do not
believe the Weihnachtsmann ...

So Mozilla has to do something.

Regards

Jens
