The Firefox installer grants firewall permissions to Firefox.exe by
adding it in the registy to
HLKM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List
This is probably needed for incoming connections to hello, for push
notifications to service workers, and maybe for some more of the new
gimmicks that keep being added. These are just the ones that immediately
come to my mind.
Some enterprise users might want to have a look at this, any maybe
remove it. I think that a web browser should be a client, not a server.
Does anybody know which other functionality might break when this is
removed?
