It should not be gone. That's used to distribute lightning add-on to users.
I know 'lightning' in conjuntion with Mozilla Thunderbird. You are right
in TB 45.2.0 'distribution' exists.
Firefox, right. I blame lack of coffee.
Looks like distribution folder does not exist, but I guess it will work
if you create it. Just guessing that though.
