Just a FYI in case you hadn’t already been through the wringer… “Hello
My name is Boyd Milliken. I am the Symantec Technician who has received case 11088320 regarding Firefox crashing with the latest SEP definitions. We identified that the Intrusion Prevention Signatures from 9/12/2016 revision 11 were causing Firefox to crash for a number of users. This definition set has been pulled from distribution and we have released an updated set 9/12/2016 rev 13 to resolve the issue which was causing Firefox to crash. Please update any affected systems to this set or later then reply to this email to let me know if that resolves the issue or if additional troubleshooting is needed. Best regards, Boyd Milliken Symantec Technical Support” From: Enterprise <enterprise-boun...@mozilla.org> on behalf of "Michalski, Jason" <jmichal...@firstrepublic.com> Date: Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 10:48 AM To: "benoit.co...@cnedi69.cnafmail.fr" <benoit.co...@cnedi69.cnafmail.fr> Cc: Enterprise <enterprise-boun...@mozilla.org>, "enterprise@mozilla.org" <enterprise@mozilla.org> Subject: Re: [Mozilla Enterprise] FireFox ESR 38.6.1 crashing upon launch Check here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1302343 From: benoit.co...@cnedi69.cnafmail.fr [mailto:benoit.co...@cnedi69.cnafmail.fr] Sent: Tuesday, September 13, 2016 10:47 AM To: Michalski, Jason Cc: enterprise@mozilla.org; Enterprise Subject: RE: [Mozilla Enterprise] FireFox ESR 38.6.1 crashing upon launch Today, we have exactly the same problem with ESR 38.4. Upgrading to ESR 45.3.0 resolved the issue. I'm looking at the crash report and this is the crash reason: Crash Reason: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ. ESR 38.6.1 won't even launch in safe mode so I can't troubleshoot it. Anyone familiar with this reason? -----Original Message----- From: Enterprise [mailto:enterprise-boun...@mozilla.org] On Behalf Of Osdoba, Sascha Sent: Tuesday, September 13, 2016 5:50 AM To: enterprise@mozilla.org<mailto:enterprise@mozilla.org> Subject: Re: [Mozilla Enterprise] Installing Extensions Dear Stephen, i recommend CCK2: https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__mike.kaply.com_cck2_&d=DQICAg&c=wmXzi2agfy7gEs3kYxhhNlK5YqQ_XRgfPhjt-qqffT8&r=HPEJ4kAHGlVJp6avYbALiVWCPrlj2rMUFcGI3VWuUik&m=YJD7OFKgPrCmlCTYhmOVmh4P1Ru8b3VXxpiggYx_Rdk&s=-22iWA1xWJwfrxN_Qy3j9rqQXv0xDdvgHExWv-QCNVY&e= Regards, Sascha Am 07.09.2016 14:37, schrieb Shannon, Stephen: > Hello All, > I'm looking for any documentation on how to install Firefox (ver. 45) > extensions silently...any suggestions would be helpful. > > *Stephen Shannon* > > Willis ISD - Senior IT Manager > > 936-856-1212 _______________________________________________ Enterprise mailing list Enterprise@mozilla.org<mailto:Enterprise@mozilla.org> https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__mail.mozilla.org_listinfo_enterprise&d=DQICAg&c=wmXzi2agfy7gEs3kYxhhNlK5YqQ_XRgfPhjt-qqffT8&r=HPEJ4kAHGlVJp6avYbALiVWCPrlj2rMUFcGI3VWuUik&m=YJD7OFKgPrCmlCTYhmOVmh4P1Ru8b3VXxpiggYx_Rdk&s=NwsdixwJDDkf59LS0oxQlbu6r7eAzQwK-ezDDylJa94&e= To unsubscribe from this list, please visit https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__mail.mozilla.org_listinfo_enterprise&d=DQICAg&c=wmXzi2agfy7gEs3kYxhhNlK5YqQ_XRgfPhjt-qqffT8&r=HPEJ4kAHGlVJp6avYbALiVWCPrlj2rMUFcGI3VWuUik&m=YJD7OFKgPrCmlCTYhmOVmh4P1Ru8b3VXxpiggYx_Rdk&s=NwsdixwJDDkf59LS0oxQlbu6r7eAzQwK-ezDDylJa94&e= or send an email to enterprise-requ...@mozilla.org<mailto:enterprise-requ...@mozilla.org> with a subject of "unsubscribe" The information transmitted is intended only for the person or entity to which it is addressed and may contain confidential and/or privileged material.
