You are exactly right as we experienced that issue as well. The fix was to create a Firefox uninstall package in SCCM that waits 10 seconds after the uninstall has been triggered. The SCCM Firefox install package is set to require the uninstall package run BEFORE the install and that combination has resulted in 100% installation success on first try.

This is probably a race condition. The uninstaller spawns a background process to do the work, and immediately exits. Thus the uninstall process is still running while the installer is already installing the new version. _______________________________________________ Enterprise mailing list [email protected] https://mail.mozilla.org/listinfo/enterprise To unsubscribe from this list, please visit https://mail.mozilla.org/listinfo/enterprise or send an email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe" _______________________________________________ Enterprise mailing list [email protected] https://mail.mozilla.org/listinfo/enterprise To unsubscribe from this list, please visit https://mail.mozilla.org/listinfo/enterprise or send an email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe"
