Hello,

I have imported a pem certificate of our proxy server into Firefox ESR 45.7
through the Options / Advanced / Certificates / View Certificates /Servers /
Import window. The certificate shows up fine on the list. However it has no
effect, I still get a warning about the proxy server when I want to open a
e-journals web site. What could be the problem?

Hi Wim,

I see what your suggesting, but as well as remotely deploying Firefox we also
do more than a few unique configurations. It works out easier and quicker to
install overall if we incorporate the dictionaries into the install file.

Hi William,

Wouldn't it be easier to just copy the files en-GB.aff and en-GB.dic to the
folder dictionaries in the install folder of Firefox?

Hi Mike,

I?ll try and trigger it, but I don?t think it will help with diagnosis. It?s
the default ?Import bookmarks from IE / Don?t import anything? screen from the
installation. I?m using VBS to copy a file named firefox.ini to the temp
folder, then use the command line ?Firefox4570esr_V2.exe
/INI=C:\Temp\Firefox.ini? (where ?Firefox4570esr_V2.exe? is the set-up file
for Firefox modified to include the UK English dictionary.

Putting in the /INI switch should automatically set the install to silent, and
the installs have been silent up until v45.6. Starting with v45.6esr almost
all the install is silent, but some (not all) installations have triggered this
import bookmarks pop-up. No other screens, just that one. Otherwise installs
silently.

Starting with the rollout of 45.7esr, I?ve included the following in the
firefox.ini file:
[XRE]
EnableProfileMigrator=false

This seems to have stopped the issue, but it?s odd and I was just wondering if
anyone else had experienced it?

Can you post a screensot?
That would be odd.

Hello,

We use ESR. I found some features in Beta 52 that we're really looking forward
to. Normally I'd assume that RR 52 and ESR 52 would have the same features,
but apparently that's not true this time (i.e. plugins). Is there any way I
can verify before March whether ESR 52 will have certain features?

Hi Peter,

I would like confirmation of the npapi status with ESR 52. Will plugins support
remain? Or will it be dropped as with RR 52?

We keep it only for ESR52, not on release.

We will branch ESR52 and 52 during the beta cycle. Once we do that, you will be
able to test builds coming from the continuous integration.
Please remember also that ESR52.1.0 and ESR52.2.0 are also here to fix the
issues you (the ESR users) will surface.

Sylvestre
