I have tested the Manually Installing the MAR file method, but I had to download the Firefox installer to the local hard drive and then runt the command to install the MAR file.. which this is basically Software Distribution, which is what we are trying to avoid.
I am not sure if you can install the MAR file from a network share, it is something I am going to have to test.
