Joe,
Seems like you need this setting too:
pref("browser.disableResetPrompt", true);

Subject: Re: [Mozilla Enterprise] R: Silverlight support
I corrected the syntax and it installs silently but, when I
uninstall/re-install FF there is a shortcut pinned to my taskbar which I don’t
want and I get a prompt at the bottom “Looks like you’ve reinstalled Firefox.
Want us to clean it up for a fresh, like-new experience?”
Any suggestions to eliminate the installation of the pinned shortcut and the
Refresh Firefox prompt? My install.ini file, autoconfig.js file, and
Mozilla.cfg file are below.
Here is my ini file:

Here is my autoconfig.js:

Using the ini file for Windows 7, <path to setup executable> [/INI=<full path

I’m trying to use the following and it does not perform a silent install:
"\\admin.local\netapp\Software\MozillaFirefox\FirefoxWinX32\Firefox Setup
53.0.2.exe<file:///\\admin.local\netapp\Software\MozillaFirefox\FirefoxWinX32\Firefox%20Setup%2053.0.2.exe>"

Assuming Windows,
I suggest on installation: "Firefox Setup 45.9.0esr.exe" /INI=\\some_path\my.ini
where my.ini has:
MaintenanceService=false
See the docs.

Thank you very mutch for your quick response!
I've one more question: to prevent auto-updates, I've just provided the
configuration below:
app.update.auto false
app.update.enabled false
app.update.mode 0
app.update.service.enabled false
app.update.silent false
Is it enough?
Best regards
Stefano

Hello Stefano,
The v52 ESR release does maintain plug-in support, so you can use it for your
organization until ESR v59 is released, about a year from now.

Hello,
my organization has a erp-report client developed with Microsoft Silverlight.
I know that Internet Explorer supports that plugin, but I would like mantain
Firefox as organization's browser: is there a support plan of Firefox ESR for
Microsoft Silverlight?
How long can I use it?
Thanks in advance,
Stefano
