Furthermore I hope CCK2 / autoconfig will continue to work with ESR
indefinitely.

Can Policy Manager and AutoConfig be used together? It would be handy
to have our core settings done using AutoConfig during deployment, and
then use Policy Manager with a GPO to set additional settings based on
AD groups. If they can be used together, is there any problems I should
look out for? If they try to configure the same setting, which one will
take precedence?
