Does anyone know of a way to work around this: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1459007
Basically on deployment of FF60/60ESR, we want to push uBlock Origin along with it. On first run of FF, the uBlock Logger in the FF sidebar opens up and will not go away with subsequent FF restarts unless you explicitly close the sidebar. Our concern is that this will cause undue end-user confusion / trouble tickets / attention. I see references to browser.sidebarAction.close() (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/WebExtensions/API/sidebarAction/close), but I don't know if something like that is even possible to implement as a default action, or first start action, on install. On a fresh install of FF, is there any way to suppress or disable the sidebar? Tim Van Dyne Senior Network Systems Analyst [cid:[email protected]]
