Disabling pocket is about disabling the extension integration. See the next
answer....

I plan to have this in the next release (September 5). It's been requested
by multiple folks.

It will mainly be just turning on and off the various new tab prefs.

Unfortunately this is a capability that Firefox doesn't support anymore.

I'm trying to figure out if there is some clever way to do it.
