Thank you James, that worked. In the new AD domain I'm building I will be
using policies (shame we cann't set where profiles are stored like you can in
the Chrome policy). Being able to use autoconfig files in ESR 68 should get me
over the gap between now and using policies.
Thanks
Chris

Having read that Firefox ESR 68 supports 2.4 of CCK2 I upgraded my
Firefox to ESR 68, download CCTK 2.4 from
https://github.com/mkaply/cck2wizard/releases/tag/2.4 but am having
trouble installing it. I've tried:
- From Firefox File menu > Open File. Locate and open the XPI file and,
Firefox complains that 'This add-on cannot be installed because as it
appears to be corrupt'
- From within about:debugging > Load Temporary Add-on. Load the CCTK
xpi file, Firefox shows in a red rectangle 'There was an error during
installation: File C:\tmp\cck2wizard-2.4.xpi does not contain a valid
manifest'
Am I doing something stupid or is there a problem?
The CCK2 'Wizard' can not be installed on ESR 68 (see
https://mike.kaply.com/cck2/)
However, the autoconfig files the latest version generates are now
compatible with ESR 68
i.e. install the latest 'Wizard' on an older install of Firefox (e.g ESR
52) and use it to generate the autoconfig files to be installed with ESR 68
Or, even better, start using Policies instead ...
