Sorry for reaching back into an old thread, I’m currently witnessing the same issue as well. I’ve tried changing the sandbox security setting to 5 and it did fix it on 32 bit 78.2 ESR, but not 64 bit 78.2 ESR (I have folks who have 32 bit and 64 bit installed simultaneously). I’m currently working on trying to migrate my company over to 64 bit cleanly from 32 bit.
I’ve tried refreshing the profile in about:support, closing/opening the browser after changing the sandbox setting from 6 to 5 (even tried 0), and creating a secondary profile to test in 64 bit and didn’t fix it. Perhaps 32 bit would need to be removed before 64 bit sandbox settings will be applied? Or perhaps 64 bit needs to be the default browser?
