You're supposed to use the 'link' and 'unlink' events, rather than setting
the property. Often you can set even a [r/o] property when first creating an
element, but not afterwards. and links can be created with virtually every
object in Entourage: at least you can link messages and contacts as well as
the new classes. Also the dictionary is sometimes wrong: in OE, you can set
the displayed feature of a window although that is supposed to be r/o.

Have you been able to set links of existing tasks, notes and events? And
have you tried setting links of messages and contacts? If so, are the links
2-way, as they should be? Do the links to contacts that you set for an event
also show up as links _to_ the event from the contact, if you try to get the
links of the contact afterwards? If not, then they're not bona links, and
you should use the link event. If so, then the Dictionary is wrong.
