Hi folks! I've been lurking for a week now, and haven't seen any messages
on this problem, but if this has been addressed before I joined up, I
apologize.

Here's the problem:

If I open Entourage first, do a few things -- like send an e-mail or create
a task or two -- and then try to open IE 5.0, I get an instant bomb of type
10 -- at least that's what the window says it is. I can do this every time.

This is on a G4, running 9.0.4 (a clean install last week), and a fresh
install of Office 2001. I even did a fresh install of IE from the Office
CD, and ran Internet First Run. IE runs great. It's always been very
stable on my machine, even more stable than Netscape 4.7.5.

But every time I open and use Entourage, and then try to open IE, I get
these bombs I have given all the programs a ton of ram -- IE has 25 mb and
Entourage 16 mb. I have noticed at least 3 other folks at
Versiontracker.com have left messages saying that they have encountered the
same bomb. One fellow said that if he opened IE first, and "hid" it and
then opened Entourage, there was no bomb, and I can confirm that this is the
case for me as well. But if I open Entourage first, and then IE, I get the
bomb 100% of the time.

Dan Crevier has suggested removing the Windows Media plug-in, which is
apparently a problem as well, but that did not stop the repeatable bombs on
my system.

Anyone else have this problem? It seems like a real bug, so I hope it's
fixed soon, because I have become very fond of IE 5.0 and haven't liked
using Netscape 4.7.5 again..

Thanks for any input.
Steve
