Easy to do.
Just control click on the group icon in the to: or cc: or bcc: group icon
that you drag from your address book. When the popup menu shows, select
Expand. Then you will be able to add or remove addresses without removing or
adding to the group that is in your address book. If you select the group
item, and delete an address, that will also delete that address from the
group item in your address book.
