Well, a reasonable assumption would be that
programmers are only human (despite what some
claim), and this bug was missed before shipping. The
unreasonable assumption would be that it was
maliciously put there to frustrate people.
The reason I asked you that specific
question is that I was one of the beta testers and this
issue came out after the program went "Golden Master"
to be shipped.
