For the last several weeks Entourage (and Word 2001) have been behaving
themselves superbly - not a crash, freeze, quit, slow-down, hiccup, or other
misbehavin' glitch. I have a couple of 40,000 word manuscripts open in Word
at all times, and a database of some 12,000 email messages in Entourage. I
gave both apps 20 megs of memory to work in. I don't know what is
recommended for my situation or how you rationally decide.

Also, Entourage synchs with my Palm V effortlessly - I did have to remove
duplicates, but other than that, the whole Ent-Palm thing went well.

As I reported weeks ago, I was getting weird "finder out of memory" messages
for the first few days after installing Office 2001, and then did 10 fixes,
(trimmed the font folder, removed the assistants, removed IBM Via Voice
Enhanced, etc, removed all MS extensions and made Word do a First Run, set
IE to load first, and so on) based on the things recommended on this list
and at MacFixIt, and I don't know what worked.

I really enjoy having the same dictionary in Word and in my email program.
