Subject: Useless News Question
I posted to a newsgroup for the first time this morning and I saw something
very strange in terms of who the post is attributed to. Bear with me.
My internet preferences are set up for home and work and I use my initials
DWB as my name in both. In Word 2001 I have entered my name, address, etc. I
have several email accounts defined in Entourage - let's call them
AccountDefault, Account2, and Account3. And lets say that the name property
for each is DavidDefault, David2, and David3. Obviously, AccountDefault is
my default account.
Now, the NewsGroup post that I made is not attributed to DWB, nor to my full
name as entered in Word 2001, nor DavidDefault from my default email
account. Instead it is attributed to David3. WHY?????????
It seems to me that if Entourage is a good Mac neighbor the name used for
attributing a useless news article should come from the Macintosh internet
preferences setup. At any rate, I can't figure out why it is from this
account.
cheers
david
