Save the script as a compiled script called “Link New Task \moT” if you want the hotkey to be command-option-T, for example, or “Link New Event \moE” for hotkey command-option-E. Or whatever.
Oops! NOT option –command-T : that’s already taken for “Mark all as Read”. Conflict. “Link New Task \cmT” will give you control-command-T, which is not taken. And “Link New Event \cmE” for hotkey control-command-E. I find generally that it’s safer to include control;.as a modifier key since it’s not used for much in the preset key commands.
