Title: Re: Keychain Support...
Apple ships with a File Security application that is much more secure than the pathetic plain text “security” of OE 4.5. Security is the job of the operating system, not of the individual applications.

This was a feature in the beta of OE 5, but was pulled at the last minute as
I understand. I was told that it's because there is some sort of security
issue with it. I have no clue why or how, but I'd like to hear it again. OE
5, as you'll remember, is the same version that killed the password at
launch in favor of 9's Multiple Users. I am opposed to this as well. Once I
open a door to my house it doesn't mean I want anyone to be able to go
anywhere, I'd still rather keep some closed - much like launching my mail
program should be protected post log-in.
Furthermore, I'd like to be able to lock folders using the keychain, as well
as opening my contacts and so on. One quick trip to the control strip and
I'm locked up tight. I have heard similar suggestions on the OE list, but
most of them are ignored I assume...
