Hi,

Final question for the day I promise :-)

I have noticed that under certain circumstances I can type quicker than
Entourage can keep up. Well with the little spare time I have today I
decided to look into the problem a little deeper and have noticed that
Entourage will almost completely monopolize the CPU at times even when to
the user nothing is going on.

To determine this I am using a combination of a Peek-a-Boo (a process
manager which shows %CPU and total ticks), Null (which is an application
that eats all the null time it can) and PPC Load Watcher (which shows a
percentage of CPU usage).

I have noticed that Entourage can take up to 90% of the CPU when it looks
like it is basically doing nothing. Interestingly enough Explorer which used
to be a bit of a hog has dropped dramatically. For example, it is acting
slowly while I am typing this so I just stopped for a second and the %CPU
stayed around 78-83%. The really strange thing is that sometimes it just
gets more responsive on it's own (the %CPU will go as low as 0). I haven't
yet worked out what is different between fast and slow.

Anyone else seeing this ?
