Here's the situation, George:
I have a script Edit & Resend. I use it myself all the time. (All those
messages to the list beginning:

"
In the Entourage version of this script I use the new "Resend" command to
preserve HTML when resending (the OE version can't do this). It also
includes the attachments. So I find I kept resending attachments when I
didn't intend to. What I then did was add a section the script when there
are attachments to send me an alert "You may wish to remove attachments."
which i have to click OK to: a bit of a nuisance but a good reminder at
least. (Then I have to remove attachments manually.)
I have now just tried something similar to your suggestion (using message
-1 of drafts folder, rather than item 1 of current messages), and it works,
without even giving me an annoying "Do you wish to save your changes?"
message after my writing my new extra text and clicking "Send Now". But
there is no sent message anywhere incorporating my new resend, or my new
text! Just a "Resend" icon next to the original message in the Sent Items
folder. I don't like that, so I think I'll go back to my annoying alert
message. It would be better if I could remove the attachments from the draft
window, however.
