I checked. It is actually "in" the file. ;-)
This can be verified by doing a Get Info on a file. The block size, on my
drive, is 8k. The file physically takes 16k and logically takes 12560
bytes.
Because the logical EOF is at 12560, any text editor, web browser, etc, will
"see" all 12560 bytes.
Even though Entourage, in my case, is using practically none (I've no
signatures).
