Title: Re: Palm Sync -- How about Contacts when I disable Notes??
When you disable notes, contact notes will still Sync.

When you change something in the notes field that is unmapped, it may or may not get synched back. This is because:

  1. We can’t always parse the data into the correct format.
  2. We can’t prevent user error from making things foobar
  3. The Palm is not extensible, if it were, we wouldn’t need to hack up the notes field.

Palm Sync -- How about Contacts when I disable Notes??

I have started to use Erage's notes to store articles from the Internet -- the best
repository for HTML I have at this moment -- nice!

Of cause I don't want to have all these notes migrate over to my Palm (no -x device),
therefore I have to disable notes sync.

That raises the question, what happens to address book fields that aren't
available at the Palm if I don't sync notes? I hope and assume they will be still
created as notes at the Palm?

And -- unrelated to syncing notes or not -- what happens if I for example edit
"Unmapped Phone Numbers" at the Palm? Are they supposed to be synced back
to E'rage at all? And without syncing notes?

TIA for any further insight, -Thomas
