Hi Martyn,

In order to move mail out of 'E' all you need to do (in theory) is
drag a mail folder from E's folder listing to the desktop. This
should create a Eudora (and Unix) compatible mail folder that is
readable by many mail clients.

Unfortunately, there is a bug in the code for this expert, but it is
one that can easily be worked around by using one of Allen Watson's
scripts called 'Fix mailbox'. It is available at AppleScript Central:
<http://www.applescriptcentral.com/ftpredirect.php?id=97>

Drop E's damaged mailbox files onto this script and they will be
fixed in seconds.

Moving addresses into Eudora could also be accomplished by an
applescript, but I am not aware that anyone has done this yet. It
shouldn't be too much of a task, but unfortuantely I don't have a
copy of E around yet, so unless you are applescript savvy yourself it
may be necessary to appeal to one of the other gurus round here. Paul
is often willing to undertake such tasks for a very reasonable fee
<g>.

Finally, in the 'Win Friends & Influence People' category, it may be
wise to refrain from quoting the entire digest and to give your
messages a meaningful subject line in future :)
