I have uploaded new versions of the following scripts to my scripting web
site for Entourage. The first group are all "contact-related" scripts, and
can be found in the "Entourage->Contacts" directory on the web site.
Add sender to group E--Prompts for group name (select from a list) and add
sender of current message to the group.
Copy Email address to clipboard--Finds a contact by first name, last name,
or full name, and copies the email address to the clipboard.
Export Address Groups--Exports a listing of group members for your address
groups. The listing can be used with Import Address Groups to restore groups
to your address book after a complex rebuild. The listing serves as a backup
to your groups. It also, with minor editing, can become input to my
Entourage Bulk Mail script.
Export selected addresses--Exports addresses of selected contacts to make an
Address List file for my Bulk Mail script. (First name, last name, Email
address)
Find Contact Plus\csC--The best I can do for finding contacts in your
Address Book quickly. Type in a partial name, nickname, company name, and
the script tries to find it, using the fastest method first, and resorting
to slower methods if the faster ones fail.
Find Dupe Contacts\cmD--Minor update to my script that locates pairs of
duplicate contacts. Note that this script will sometimes match on names that
are not duplicates, and will sometimes miss actual duplicates. But it is
still better than nothing! I'm working on a complete fix.
Find groups of contact E--Find all the groups to which a given contact
belongs.
Flag all dupe contacts--Locate and mark with a flag all duplicate contact
pairs. Same caveats as with "Find Dupe Contacts" since it uses the same code
to do lookups.
Import Address Groups--See Export Address Groups.
Merge Contacts v2\cmM--Select two contacts, and this script will merge the
data from all the fields of both contacts into the first contact, giving you
the option to choose which data you want if both records have different data
in the same field (e.g. differing ZIP code fields).
New Task for Contact\moT--Create a new task linked to a selected contact.
Open selected contact\cmO--Quckly open a contact that is selected in the
Address Book (faster than just hitting Return, because of a bug in
Entourage).
