I've been waiting to see if others replied to this question which I find
very interesting as well.

I tried the very first (1.0) version and had massive problems. It slowed
down my machine enormously and it threw its numerous, little Rewind (cache,
I guess) files all over the place eating away space (I'm on a 4G hard drive
on an iMac 233, 96 Mb ram, OS 9.0.4).

Also since one of the main features, the Disk Rewind, didn't work in this
version, I decided to stay with TTP and Norton.

The reports on the new updated version (1.0.3) do look quite promising,
though, so if anybody with any experience on this would care to pitch in, it
would be greatly appreciated.

Always a good idea to check http://www.macfixit.com, I guess.
