This is probably more of a rhetorical question since the MS developers won't
be able to comment, but...

Why can't us Mac users have a product that is capable of the same things as
Outlook 2000 for Windows? I love Entourage, but it doesn't support Exchange
servers (Without Exchange additionally serving via POP or IMAP and jumping
through calendar tricks). The new Outlook 2001 doesn't support any mail
servers other than Exchange (The beta doesn't even launch if you don't have
an Exchange server) and doesn't appear to have Palm synch (Hearsay since I
can't use it myself).

I am currently looking at the possibility of having to switch to an Exchange
environment and don't look forward to having to use both Outlook for
Exchange mail and scheduling and Entourage for my 8 POP and Hotmail
accounts. Moving calendar and contact data from Outlook to Entourage for
Palm synch is another thing I am not looking forward to for when I do get a
PDA. Why is so much effort on these two products being duplicated?

Ok, I'm done. You will now return to your regularly scheduled program...
