Yup, same here, Erica. 9.1 won’t work on my computer unless I disable Microsoft Office Manager. And a few others, too. I’m back to 9.04, while I wait for a few 3rd party patches to come through, including MOM.

This was also reported at MacFixit, so others are seeing it, as well.

    I installed Mac OS 9.1 and now I can't use either the Microsoft Office
Manager or the Office Manager Extension without a peculiar problem
happening. My computer boots just fine but the aliases on my desktop don't
appear and the computer freezes. I command-tab and the little window appears
that shows the currently running applications but not even the Finder is
active. Does anyone else experience this?
    I am trying out the Newsgroups and can't seem to make the Save All
Attachments command in the Message menu to work. How do you save multi-part
attachments in Usenet?
