hi,
I wanted to "touch" all the contacts in my contact database to see if making
a small change and saving the contact would make access to the contacts
faster.
so I wrote a script which would be innocuous and yet change each contact.
I said
repeat with x in every contact
set display name of x to display name of x
end
thinking this would just update the display name to its old value.
Instead I managed to erase the first and last name of 1200 contacts ;-(
just a trick for young players, I guess,
