PGP freeware 6.5.8 works for me (6.5.2 did as well).

The only problem -- if memory doesn't fail, already showing up with OE 5.x
-- some comfort the PGP menu extension offered when used with OE 4.5 got
lost. The addressees key isn't selected automatically any longer.

I'd suggest the usual troubleshooting routines: Disk First Aid, Norton,
Desktop rebuild. And look for outdated PGP files.
