Me too.
Had I not recently removed all my news related stuff from E'rage, this would
really bother me.
As it was, I found the absence of an indexed "is/is not a news message" in
Custom Views to make using mail painfully slow (contains header "Newsgroups"
is much, much slower...especially when iterating across thousands of
messages...most of which are news messages and not relevant).
But were I still using news, I'd appreciate not getting notification sounds
when new news arrives. News is generally a low priority background kind of
task.
