No. It's actually against standards/protocols. Microsoft (or our crew here)
are so fed up up with everyone accusing them of imposing their own standards
that they have bent over backwards to follow every standard and protocol to
the letter, including this one and the 76 (or is it 80?) -character maximum
for for plain text, even though it can be inconvenient. There you are.
