Whenever I send an email to more than one person, 99% of the time I will want to post their names in the BVV field.Open the mini-Address Book in the new message window itself – click the Address Book icon there to get it. You CAN drag those names to the BCC field from there, can't you? Don't keep it open as a permanent preference or it slows down message opening . (This may be something they'll get around to fixing soon.)
So far, I can’t find a way to do that; seems that the BCC field won’t take a drag and drop from the Address Book.

With the BCC pane visible, try clicking the Address Book button in the
message's toolbar, and drag the addresses from the little window that pops
up. That works.
