I don't think this is anything in the script. If you have a digest up in the
preview pane, select some text, and then just open a new, blank note, close
it or delete it, when you switch back to the window showing the digest, it
has reverted to the top of the digest. Don't know why. This does not happen
if you (a) do not open the note with the script or (b) open the digest in
its own window, instead of viewing it in the preview pane.

Great analogy! I remember the first time, as a very young adult, that I took
apart an electrical appliance and actually fixed a problem, put it back
together, and had it work. Great feeling, and very akin to tinkering with
other people's scripts. I feel that way when I try to alter John Carlsen's
eMessage Archiver scripts.
