I have noticed that the scripting dictionary for Entourage now includes commands for setting up the authenticated SMTP settings. These features were introduced to Outlook Express in 5.02, but the scripting dictionary for that app was not updated (from v5.0) to accommodate this new and necessary capability. I'd like to have this scripting capability as it would dovetail very nicely in automating our Mac setups. (We're doing pretty cool things with scripting and Apple Software Restore and Disk Copy already.) Is there any chance that this scripting functionality will be available in Outlook Express? Will there be any new versions of OE from Microsoft? (My campus is unlikely to fully support Entourage because a. we operate a CorporateTime calendar server and Entourage's personal calendaring sends a conflicting message to end users and b. we get 95% of the IMAP functionality we want from the freely-downloable OE.) -- Jeremy Reichman, aka "Jaharmi" Software Specialist III (Mac OS) / Instructor Customer Support Services Information and Technology Services Rochester Institute of Technology Rochester, New York, USA World Wide Web <http://www.rit.edu/~jjracc/> Electronic mail <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To search the archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
