Gave this a quick try. You are right; it works. However, it has an
unexpected and undesirable side effect. When you simply assign the color
"red," for instance, Entourage creates a category "Untitled" associated with
the color and assigns <that> to the message. I tried four colors, got
Untitled, Untitled 2, Untitled 3, and Untitled 4. I don't know if each
repetition of a color creates a new untitled category but it might. I'm
afraid we can't <really> use colors independent of categories, as much as we
might like to.
