Where exactly are the contacts kept in Entourage? Is it in Microsoft User
Data-Office 2001 Identies - Main Identity - something? I see Database,
Messages, Rules, Signatures - nothing that specifically says Contacts.
3 times in the past I have successfully and easily transferred Entourage
with all its databases and rules to a new system. Just install Entourage and
Word & Office, and drag the MUD folder into the Documents folder. And voila,
there it is. No muss, no fuss.
This time, I got the dreaded "end of file" and "insufficient memory"
messages, along with total freezes and "type 4353" (or something like that)
error messages. Entourage just refused to open with my actual identity as
the identity, and it would misbehave radically if I tried.
After doing the usual - rebuilding Entourage with a basic rebuild and then
an advanced rebuild, doing a clean install of the Mac OS, then a clean
install of the entire Office 2001 package, then attempting to open
Entourage, I was getting the same problems after each stage.
I don't know what I am doing wrong.
The only thing that worked was to start "virgin", manually re-enter my
accounts, and start from scratch.
How do I import
1) my contacts
2) my previous emails?
Thanks
Lorin
