I'm not sure if this has been brought up before in all of our "Things to do
to fix Entourage" posts, but one thing I've noticed now (that I finally got
my DSL line installed and I can leave Erage open and checking mail every 5
minutes) is that the Entourage notification sounds do not follow the "Alert
Volume" setting from the sound control panel.
I have my System volume set at around 5, but my alert volume set at about 2,
so that system alerts don't echo through my apartment when played through my
Monsoon speakers and subwoofer. But Entourage plays its notification sounds
at the system level, not the alert level. I know that I, for one, would
like this changed around. It is very annoying (and headache-inducing) the
way it is.
Just a suggestion to the MS folks here...
