As author of Merge Contacts I guess I should respond. I can't be of much
help, though. First of all, let me apologize to everyone using the Japanese
version. I steered away from it, and deliberately left out the furigana
fields because I really had no idea what they were or how they related to
the English name fields. I'm glad you are trying to add them into the
script.
As for why you are crashing: no idea. I have never tried manipulating those
fields, would not know how to put valid data into them because I don't know
Japanese and don't have the Japanese language kit installed...and do not
want to mess with my system to do it. I also don't have Applescript 1.6
installed yet. I'm falling behind on updates here! So, I hope someone else
can come to your rescue.
