Maybe you need to come down off the mountain ("alptop")? ;-)
Check to see if there is anything scheduled to happen at quit in your
Schedules. It's probably doing something like deleting messages from your
Deleted Items and Sent folders. That might indicate database corruption. So:
try a rebuild using Option at launch.
