In my experience, though, I have not needed it much with Entourage. When I
was bursting digests (mostly I either get individual messages or I read the
digest either in place or with Digest Viewer), I wrote a script I call
"Burst Universal" which I hardly use any more. It uses the native "burst"
command for most digests. For the eGroups lists, it used Phil's "Burst
OneList Digest" script; and only when those failed to produce results, it
used "Burst Malformed Digest." I don't think I downloaded Phil's version
that he converted to Entourage; I converted them myself (it was a minimal
effort).
It has some file paths hard-coded in it; you'd need to edit those to match
your system. If you'd like a copy let me know; I'll mail you a copy. Or
check my web site (URL below) in the "Extract" folder. Since yesterday I
have been unable to access my iDisk for upload; don't know why. I can get to
the web page with my browser and view the files or download, but when I try
to mount my iDisk from the iTools web pages, nothing happens. (Paul B: Are
you have similar problems, or am I out of date or something?) But I believe
the copies there are current. (All the sub-scripts are there as well as
"Burst Universal.")
